Requirements
- Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology
- Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education for Cath Lab/EP Lab
- More than 3+ years of Interventional experience
- Expert in clinical skills listed within the grid per each individual department and/or site scope
- Expert in all areas performed if the department is a combination of specialties
- BLS certification and active RT status upon hire for IR, and RT-CV or VI registration
- BLS and ACLS upon hire, Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification for Cath Lab
- BLS and ACLS upon hire for EP Lab, Registered RCIS/RCES/RT
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures
- Assist physicians and deliver quality patient/family centered care
- Perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, and manage vascular access sites
- Provide patient/family education
