Requirements
- Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology
- Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education for Cath Lab/EP Lab
- More than 5 years of Interventional experience
- Expertise in clinical skills listed within the grid per each individual department and/or site scope
- BLS certification and active RT status upon hire for IR, and RT-CV or VI registration
- BLS and ACLS upon hire, Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification for Cath Lab
- BLS and ACLS upon hire, Registered RCIS/RCES/RT for EP Lab
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and Vascular procedures
- Maintain and ensure the physician has required equipment to provide quality imaging
- Perform IV starts, prep patients, administer/monitor conscious sedation, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, recover patients, groin management, provide patient/family education
