Requirements

  • Proven and consistent experience in an engineering, solution architecture, or equivalent role
  • Demonstrated experience working with cloud and/or virtualization infrastructure technologies directly
  • Experience in product or infrastructure design work
  • Prior experience with Veeam products preferred, VMCE highly beneficial
  • Technical architecture knowledge of virtualization and related storage technologies
  • Hands on knowledge of data protection & disaster recovery technologies
  • Advanced skills in Enterprise Datacenter Infrastructure designs and technologies (storage, virtualization, networking)
  • Relevant industry certifications highly desired
  • Technical expertise with virtualization including specific expertise of integration APIs, hypervisor storage and data protection APIs
  • Experience or knowledge of one or more of the public hyperscale cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Previous pre-sales or other experience interacting with technology partners or strategic customers
  • Deployment of software solutions into complex environments
  • Deep level understanding of Veeam and/or similar technologies
  • Industry relevant professional certifications is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Owns the technical architecture, design, and go-to-market plan for Veeam’s backup-as-a-service offerings for VCSP, MSP, CHN, and hybrid partner.
  • Develops and maintains the step-by-step plans to create, operate, and manage a service using VDC.
  • Maintain the updated documentation of changes to VDC as products are added and adjustments are made.
  • Enable SEs, TPMs, sellers, and partner managers to discuss and deliver sales & technical materials to VCSP, MSP, CHN, and hybrid partners.
  • Work with other SAs to push for product updates, feature requests, and business process changes to enhance the offering and improve the ability to generate revenue through the partners.
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) across field engineering including deep knowledge of Veeam products and strategy.
  • Formulate Veeam strategies to integrate product into complex customer / partner environments.
  • Present deep technical subject matters to a wide range of audience types.
  • Work with GEO technical leadership to train field resources on approved architectures of both new and existing products.
  • Work with product and alliance management for any customer and/or partner specific feature enhancements to Veeam products.
  • Funnel customer and partner product enhancement requests to product management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional product groups to communicate feedback from the field.
  • Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for field systems engineering.
  • Enable the global field (primarily field SAs and SEs) by providing on-going consultation, knowledge transfer, and best practices.
  • Up to 50-75% travel (National)

Preferred Qualifications
