Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Graphic Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10 years of progressive related experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive and dynamic data visualizations using modern visualization tools and libraries.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into visual solutions.
  • Ensure that visualizations are accurate, efficient, and easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continually improve visualization designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and UI/UX design.
  • Create technical documentation and user guides for visualization tools and applications.
  • Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data visualization best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Big data background: familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
  • Experience with Databricks, Qlik, Knime technologies
  • Machine Learning exposure: and understanding of how data transformations support downstream ML workflows
  • Experience areas using open-source projects such as Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake.
  • Proficient at programming in, and debugging, at least one of: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R
  • Strong knowledge of areas like Data Integration (ETL/ELT), Data Warehousing, APIs, Data Quality, and Data Governance
  • A solid understanding of Machine Learning tools and Generative AI concepts is advantageous.
  • Expertise in Cloud technologies, including certifications for specific hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), is a plus.
  • Familiar with Data Warehousing technologies and processes (Ex: SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
  • Understanding of Security and Data Governance best practices and policies.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
