Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Graphic Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 10 years of progressive related experience.
- Active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive and dynamic data visualizations using modern visualization tools and libraries.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into visual solutions.
- Ensure that visualizations are accurate, efficient, and easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continually improve visualization designs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and UI/UX design.
- Create technical documentation and user guides for visualization tools and applications.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data visualization best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Big data background: familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
- Experience with Databricks, Qlik, Knime technologies
- Machine Learning exposure: and understanding of how data transformations support downstream ML workflows
- Experience areas using open-source projects such as Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake.
- Proficient at programming in, and debugging, at least one of: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R
- Strong knowledge of areas like Data Integration (ETL/ELT), Data Warehousing, APIs, Data Quality, and Data Governance
- A solid understanding of Machine Learning tools and Generative AI concepts is advantageous.
- Expertise in Cloud technologies, including certifications for specific hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), is a plus.
- Familiar with Data Warehousing technologies and processes (Ex: SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
- Understanding of Security and Data Governance best practices and policies.
- Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
