Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years in a management or tech lead role
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in a leadership capacity
- Strong technical background in GoLang or Python
- Experience managing software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and engineering best practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with strategic leadership
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through regular coaching, career development planning, and performance feedback
- Foster a healthy, inclusive, and collaborative team culture that encourages innovation and accountability
- Conduct 1:1 check ins weekly (document, help develop goals, problem solve any road blocks)
- Acclimate new hires into the team
- Collaborate across engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and customer-facing teams to build and maintain reliable software
- Translate business and customer requirements into well-architected technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews, documentation
- Ensure projects are going according to schedule
- Raise any red flags if there are any internal issues
- Meet with engineering leadership to understand the project roadmap
