Requirements
- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
- Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following: 1. Coding in one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C# 2. Python, PHP, or Haskell 3. Relational databases and SQL 4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, Perforce, or Helix Swarm) 5. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting 6. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript 7. Build highly-scalable performant solutions 8. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction and 9. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.
- Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.
- Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.
- May be assigned to specific group focused on product or infrastructure.
- Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on schedule by exercising strong judgment and problem solving skills.
- Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end developer workflow for video game developers and designers by developing a rapport with game studio members and leadership to identify pain points and architect solutions.
- Design workflows for code authorship, static analysis, build and test using Python and other high-level scripting languages.
- Design and deploy a common Continuous Integration frameworks and code authoring tools to all game studios that provides timely and effective feedback on source code changes regarding code correctness.
- Design, deploy and integrate console-based test frameworks to provide continuous performance feedback to developers over its development lifecycle.
- Develops Visual Studio plugins to integrate with proprietary build infrastructure systems and open source build solutions.
