Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies (Web Services, XML, JSON, JDBC, Spring framework, Hibernate)
- Strong experience with API development and integration
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services and application migration
- Front-end development experience with Angular or React
- Solid understanding of software architecture, security, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end solutions across multiple platforms using Java, Oracle, and UNIX
- Develop and consume APIs; build Web Services (SOAP/REST) using Java Spring Boot
- Contribute to cloud migration efforts and application deployment in AWS
- Apply front-end development skills using Angular or React
- Collaborate with architects and tech leads to uphold architectural standards and ensure application integrity
- Design scalable, reusable, secure, and cost-efficient software architecture patterns
- Participate in security assessments and remediation of vulnerabilities
- Demonstrate systems thinking and collaborate across interfacing systems
- Engage with teams across billing and premium audit, including maintenance, production support, and cloud migration
- Evaluate technology trade-offs to deliver optimal customer value
- Review and contribute to well-abstracted, reusable code
- Apply DevSecOps practices and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, uDeploy, Rally, Checkmarx)
- Implement proactive monitoring and observability to detect and prevent system issues
- Share knowledge and present ideas to leadership and peers to foster team learning
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for supported applications
- Mentor team members and sourcing partners on development best practices
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Communicate risks, mitigations, and business impacts clearly and concisely
- Drive innovation by leveraging technology to solve customer problems
