Requirements
- 1 year + of professional coding experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A self-starter mindset with proven experience learning on your own and managing your development of a functional piece of software
- Proficient in at least two of the following languages: PHP, JavaScript, and SQL
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reliable, scalable, and efficient backend services using modern technologies and frameworks
- Write well-tested, maintainable code
- Analyze data to drive design decisions and assess the impact of changes
- Participate in application troubleshooting and support, including a rotating assignment on pager duty
- Create documentation, such as technical design documents and operational runbooks
- Take ownership of your personal development by keeping up with the latest backend technologies, tools, and best practices
- Continuously improve the development process and share knowledge within the team
- Follow agile methodologies in two-week sprints and work in a fast-paced environment where results are quickly visible
