Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building full-stack applications.
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience building intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks like React or Svelte.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern frontend development tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Eager to learn.
- Opinions about how to architect scalable codebases.
Responsibilities
- Build high-performance microservices that power the entire deployment lifecycle—from handling webhooks to designing database schemas and building scalable APIs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for the Vercel build pipeline.
- Improve the Deployments user interface.
- Identify opportunities and lead projects to enhance performance, reliability, and developer experience of CI/CD on Vercel.
- Improve the developer experience for both small projects and large monorepos.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in CI/CD technologies, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
- Engage with the open-source community, participate in discussions, and contribute to related projects, aligning with Vercel’s commitment to giving back to the developer community.
- Write clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Are a React or Next.js expert.
- Have worked to develop a CI/CD platform for other developers to use.
- Have experience contributing to, or participating in open source projects.
