Software Automation Flight Test Engineer

1-5 years experience in a software testing or automation role; ideally in a cross-functional hardware/software product environment
Experience with mobile automation frameworks (Appium preferred)
Familiarity with modern UI automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium)
Strong coding skills in Python leveraging APIs
Experience using issue tracking and ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA)
Already have or interested in obtaining a Part 107 remote drone operator certification from the FAA
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and shipping high-quality products

Design and implement end-to-end automated test workflows across mobile, web, and integrated hardware/software systems automation for real world and simulator based test execution, data analysis, issue identification and reporting
Analyze and optimize existing test cases ensuring full coverage with minimal redundancy
Enable broader team participation in automation through reusable components, documentation, and tooling
Bring a critical eye to existing test suites and propose opportunities for test sequence consolidation and more effective flight time utilization
Support root cause investigations with log capture and repro automation as needed
Collaborate closely with software development, flight test, and reliability engineering teams
