Requirements
- Creator mindset: You don’t just follow social trends; you understand why they work and how (and when) to adapt them for brands.
- Platform fluency: 2-3+ years creating social content professionally across multiple platforms with proven results. You can speak the distinct language of each platform.
- Camera confidence: Comfortable and authentic on camera—you can translate complex ideas into engaging video content where you serve as the presenter.
- Creator economy obsession: You can name the top creators in multiple niches, explain why certain collaborations succeeded while others failed, and spot patterns in the evolving influencer landscape.
- Editorial thinking: Strong writing skills with the ability to craft sharp short-form copy that drives engagement.
- Visual instincts: Basic photo and video editing abilities with an eye for what stops thumbs from scrolling (you’ll have the opportunity to partner closely with our in-house creative team for more advanced asset development). Bonus points for experience with Figma.
- Analytical approach: You understand how to report, measure success, and optimize based on data.
- Tool proficiency: Experience with social media management tools (Later experience is a plus!)
- Collaboration skills: You thrive in creative teams and know how to both give and receive feedback effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop scroll-stopping social content primarily across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, along with Threads, Pinterest, Facebook, and X, that not only showcases Later’s tools but establishes us as the voice of the creator economy.
- Script, produce, and star in short-form video content that breaks down trends, analyzes successful brand collaborations, and provides actionable insights our audience can’t get elsewhere.
- Transform Later’s brand voice into distinct platform-specific content that feels native to each environment.
- Apply your editorial eye to craft visuals that stand out in crowded feeds (basic photo and video editing skills required).
- Be a face and personality of Later’s online presence, interacting with our community in a way that feels authentic and builds genuine connections.
- Proactively cultivate relationships with creators, brands, and industry leaders through strategic engagement.
- Identify and execute collaboration opportunities that extend Later’s reach into new marketer and creator communities.
- Track community sentiment and spot emerging conversations we should be part of.
- Live at the intersection of social platform changes, creator trends, and marketing innovation.
- Translate your obsessive knowledge of what’s working in the creator economy into actionable content opportunities for Later.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of successful campaigns, creator collaborations, and viral moments that our audience can learn from.
- Constantly identify emerging formats and approaches before they hit mainstream.
- Track and interpret key performance metrics to continuously refine our approach.
- Identify content patterns that drive measurable growth and engagement.
- Contribute strategic insights based on platform algorithm changes and audience behavior shifts.
- Help design A/B tests that elevate our content strategy to new heights.
- Partner with creative and marketing teams to ensure Later’s social presence amplifies the brand and broader business initiatives.
- Bring social-first thinking to integrated campaign planning and execution.
- Share social media and creator economy insights with the wider organization to inform product and content decisions.
