Requirements
- 8+ years as a Data Warehouse Engineer and at least 4 years of experience in end-to-end implementation of Snowflake cloud data warehouse on AWS or Azure.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake advanced concepts like resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, Zero copy clone, time travel, cost governance, and guidance on using these features.
- Proficiency in Snowflake data modeling, ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing complex stored procedures, and standard DWH and ETL concepts.
- Experience in development and management of CI/CD pipelines using GIT repositories and DevOps for Infrastructure-as-Code deployments (Terraform, Ansible, Python, etc.), and hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and other big data migration techniques.
- Strong Experience in Python, SQL, JavaScript, Terraform
- Strong written communication skills, effective and persuasive in both written and oral communication, with solid knowledge of the overall software development life cycle, including development, testing, and deployment of all application modules.
Responsibilities
- Snowflake administration, security, performance optimization, automation, and CI/CD integration within cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
- Successfully complete multiple, complex technical projects and create high-level design and architecture solutions, including design and deployment infrastructure diagrams.
- Gather end-user requirements, write technical documentation, and provide innovative solutions based on new technologies and the latest product features.
- Manage pipelines using Terraform scripts to deploy resources and provide engineering analysis and support for creating Snowflake accounts, ensuring enterprise security/compliance standards.
- Work closely with the application development team to understand the business, capture requirements, identify pain areas, and propose ideal solutions to grow the business.
- Provide administrative support by closely working with vendors for any environment issues and understand the needs of automation to propose solutions.
