Requirements

  • MD and/or PhD board certified in sleep medicine, with 10+ years experience
  • Experience in data review for quality assurance and sleep study interpretation, including tasks such as manual review, annotation, and labeling
  • Experience in health optimization for sleep wellness and in the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders (e.g. sleep disordered breathing, insomnia, circadian rhythm disturbances)
  • Expertise in sleep study design and methodology (e.g. polysomnography) for digital product development
  • Proficient in interpreting complex data analysis results in order to build products that help users understand and improve their sleep health
  • Relevant clinical and/or research and/or product experience in sleep health / sleep outcomes
  • Proven understanding of study design and methodology, including experimental design and observational studies
  • Collaboration experience with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with digital health and/or consumer health sleep technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement studies for primary data collection, with the goal of building and validating machine learning models
  • Engage directly with data collection to develop and implement best practice data quality methods, including site visits as needed
  • Ensure that data quality meets the requirements needed for robust product development
  • Oversee scoring and interpretation of sleep-related study results, such as PSG
  • Collaborate with quantitative scientists and machine learning engineers to extract insights from complex data sets
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across the entire product lifecycle to drive development
  • Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of lifestyle and behaviors on human physiology
  • Experience with human subjects research IRBs and/or regulatory submissions for digital health technologies and/or innovative medical or health devices
  • Prior experience in health technology, digital medicine, consumer health and/or innovative sleep technologies
