Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials, Operations, Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience including a minimum of two years of global supply management in roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of Engineering, NPD procurement, sourcing or related field, including supervisory experience and/or leading project teams.
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel (e.g., excel pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated competency in leading projects, influencing and indirect people leadership
- Strong project management skills
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating & facilitating discussions across multiple functions
- Effective communication skills including presenting to senior levels of the organization
Responsibilities
- The SSM Site Supply Management responsible for assigned site
- Effectively manage the direct material productivity process in close collaboration with commodity managers, engineering and product managers, including all metrics: pipeline ideation and development, productivity tracking by commodity, site and SBU, and forecast accuracy and data integrity.
- Facilitate productivity ideation events to build direct material productivity pipeline
- Leads material portion of the COGS for assigned sites including annual direct material cost standards
- Leads AOP Direct Material productivity for assigned site(s) and SBU’s
- When applicable assist site and materials team with single site “non-managed” suppliers
- Project leader directly responsible for multiple supply chain projects and effectively collaborating with the cross-functional team and other project owners to execute project implementation plans for productivity, supplier transition and continuous improvement projects.
- Lead or support, as a core team member, source change project implementation for assigned sites
- Support Make vs Buy and core/non-core analysis for assigned sites
- Develop and present site supply playbooks that are aligned with all key stakeholders: commodity management, operations and SBU/product strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred.
