Requirements

  • Must be able to proactively engage with customers, building strong relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Understanding of automotive repair and maintenance, particularly with Nissan vehicles.
  • Ability to identify and create upselling opportunities by understanding customer needs and recommending relevant parts and services.
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service skills by delivering excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Eager to meet and exceed sales targets, particularly in upselling and increasing the average order value.
  • Ability to provide feedback and insights to the management team to improve sales strategies and customer experience.
  • Computer savvy with the ability to use inventory management systems. CDK experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.
  • Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
  • Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
  • Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
  • Keeping customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer 2 years of experience as a service advisor
  • Automotive aptitude and knowledge are preferred
  • Communication skills – communicates effectively with others.
  • Time management – managing one’s own time and time of others.
  • Typing – ability to type efficiently in order to enter repair orders.
  • Basic computer & cost calculation skills.
