Requirements
- Experience as an automotive Service Advisor
- Active listening skills to assess needs and relate technical information back to the customer
- An understanding of the mechanical and technical
- Computer proficiency. Experience with CDK a plus!
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player
- Polished and professional
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests
- Verifying warranty and service contract coverage
- Developing estimates
- Writing repair orders
- Maintaining customer records
- Serving as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician
- Developing estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles
- Preparing repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system
- Communicating additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection
- Administering the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs
- Keeping customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses
Preferred Qualifications
- Chevrolet Certified Service experience, a plus!
