Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Corporate PR, previous agency experience.
- A history of success in providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients and building credibility with senior level client contacts.
- Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines.
- Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs.
- Excellent writing skills, solid presentation skills, experience developing and delivering client presentations, including new business.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of reputation management and a solid working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media. A current track record of success in building relationships with national business media and driving results for clients.
- Must have a strong background in corporate communications and solid corporate media relations contacts.
- Proven leadership experience, mentoring and developing junior talent.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic, visionary plans for clients and communicate them compellingly with supporting recommendations and substantive logic.
- Develop media relations strategy and conduct outreach for programs/projects.
- Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition and general issues facing the industry.
- Grow business prospects with existing clients; expand scope of work using network capabilities; lead new business outreach process and win business.
- Secure, maintain and grow the business.
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals.
- Drive learning and ongoing education with direct team and across agency through trend watching and general knowledge management.
- Effectively manage staff utilization to meet profitability targets.
- Foster and maintain relationships with client contacts and internal agency partners.
- Maintain financial responsibility for accounts including forecasting and account profitability.
- Mentor, coach and support team members ensuring constant development of their skills.
- Provide strategic counsel, guidance and leadership, supervising several staff members, and ensuring the team’s success by managing work quality and productivity levels.
