Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of UX/UI fundamentals (written, verbal, and visual)
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma and working knowledge of design systems
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, and visual)

  • Portfolio that shows: An end-to-end process for solving a problem, explaining how UX insights inform design solutions; consideration for user needs, business goals, and technical constraints; examples of UX/UI deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the quality, consistency, and accuracy of a project
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple partners in Product, Business, and Engineering, advocating for the value of UX to non-designers
  • Conduct UX discovery, validate use cases, map information architecture, create user flows, and present insights to stakeholders
  • Translate use cases into wireframes and prototypes in Figma, applying Walmarts design system
  • Create hand-off documentation for engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Design certification (for example, IDEOU – Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate)
  • Driving product development in a user experience area
  • Master’s degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area
  • Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare)
