Requirements

  • Minimum of three years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • CPA, ACA, or CTA preferred.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international tax regulations
  • Expertise in foreign withholding treaties, including documentation management
  • Attention to detail in monitoring custodial needs and tax reporting reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and reviews complex tax filings processes such as book-tax difference computations, federal income tax provisions, global tax filings, uncertain tax positions work papers, etc.
  • Researches and analyzes merger and acquisition transactions. Evaluates tax impacts and provides recommendations to management.
  • Reviews and resolves tax issues. Partners with internal and external partners to achieve resolution and ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting. Acts as tax liaison for critical investment operations functions.
  • Monitors and complies with domestic and international taxation, tax laws, and regulations affecting global investments of Vanguard products.
  • Independently performs analysis of issues and elevates high priority situations for management review. Recommends solutions and process improvement opportunities to gain efficiency. Attends industry and vendor conferences to stay abreast of changes and industry impact.
  • Trains new crew members, provides technical guidance and on-the-job training as needed.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • CPA, ACA, or CTA preferred.
