Senior Systems Engineer – Fleet Validation Lead

B.S. or higher degree in Automotive Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field
7+ years of industry experience working on complex system validation campaigns
Management experience
Proficiency in basic statistics and probability
Experience with test scripting and data analysis languages (Python and SQL preferred)
Ability to manage ambiguity and drive progress independently
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams

Analyze the Operational Design Domain (ODD) and service duty cycle requirements to propose fleet mileage collection requirements for validation campaigns
Develop new pragmatic statistical and technical arguments to optimize data collection efforts so as to balance the needs of the Zoox Safety Case with the realities and challenges of operations and business needs
Manage a small team of engineers
Produce dashboards for tracking mileage collection and tracking the resolution of findings coming in from the field
Troubleshoot blockers or inefficiencies with mileage collection efforts
Collaborate cross-functionally with system safety, data science, fleet operations, and software teams to execute campaigns and act on findings
Perform data analysis and report test results. Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results. Define and develop automated data extraction tools to streamline analysis and reporting
