Requirements
- B. Sc. in Electrical, Computer or System Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in satellite communications or other large communication systems
- Experience in system simulations and service performance assessments
- Programming experience in Matlab and/or Python
Responsibilities
- Develop new solutions to commercial needs using the Telesat Lightspeed system
- Support sales activities by evaluating complex use cases using Telesat internal and commercially available simulation tools
- Evaluate system performance boundaries by incorporating realistic user traffic profiles and terminal mix
- Help prepare and manage feature development roadmap in collaboration with commercial and engineering teams by evaluating value-add
- Develop technical documentation and reports
- Prepare and deliver high quality technical presentations supporting the delivery of solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of radio communication systems and/or satellite communication is desirable (experience with link budgets is an asset)
- Experience with STK for orbital analyses is an asset
