Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, ideally in a technical field, but we understand great engineers come from all sorts of different backgrounds and also consider relevant work experience
  • 8+ years related experience or demonstrated equivalent
  • Experience with React
  • Expertise in modern front-end frameworks (React preferred), build tooling, and testing frameworks
  • Expertise in building delightful user interfaces
  • Familiarity with responsive design/development and mobile-web best practices
  • Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done
  • Strong sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
  • Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features, not polishing perfect code or architecture
  • Experience working in a collaborative coding environment (and git specifically), refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests
  • Able to design and build modern and highly-responsive customer-facing components
  • Develop and implement front-end architecture to support user interface concepts

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the technical architecture & design of the Sofi Invest web component
  • Lead best practices for development, testing and releasing the SoFi Invest component while contributing to the shared components across SoFi
  • Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team
  • Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
  • Shape the architecture of our frontend technologies
  • Proven experience designing and building reusable SDKs, UI libraries, and platform APIs
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, web performance optimization, and accessibility standards
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership skills.
