Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of twelve (12) or more years of industry experience with a firm understanding of reservoir engineering, field development planning, and economics & reserves for unconventional resources.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
- Strong quantitative abilities, acute business judgment, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to apply statistical concepts to solve business challenges.
- Self-motivated to manage and complete projects within time constraints.
- Proven team player that exhibits a positive attitude and respect for others.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate portfolio analysis needs across the corporation
- Collaborate with Portfolio team and Asset team members to ensure the quality of resource development characterizations within the portfolio model
- Develop and maintain operational and financial parameters in the portfolio model that align with the commitments, constraints, and objectives of the corporation.
- Frame and Run Scenarios to evaluate portfolio tradeoffs and to provide strategic insights
- Communicate portfolio insights and results to various audiences, including asset teams and executives
- Leverage portfolio insights to develop a long-range plan used to guide financial planning and asset team operations scheduling.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced user of @RISK or similar risk modeling tool
- Advanced user of Aries or similar economics product
- Advanced user of Spotfire or similar analytics tool
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with Quorum Portfolio or similar portfolio analysis tool
- Experience with PRMS and SEC Reserves regulations
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree or certificate
- Able to utilize GIS systems and conduct basic spatial analysis tasks
- Broad understanding of internal and external E&P data sources and ability to connect, compile, and analyze
- Able to write or edit code (e.g. SQL, R, Python, VBA) to enhance personal and team productivity.
