Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering
- Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship
Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Perform model-based systems design and simulation to evaluate alternate architectures and to automate validation and verification activities.
- Define and streamline systems engineering processes to quickly and cost effectively execute advanced technology programs with heavy emphasis on application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using a variety of techniques, methods and tools.
- Perform system engineering and provide technical / project leadership on Research & Development and New Product Introduction programs.
- Develop and promote model-based process and standards for model development using sound engineering principles, model architectures, and management.
- Work closely with Systems and Design teams to validate model completeness and correctness.
- Provide guidance on use of models and model-based tools to project and functional teams.
- Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo and MagicDraw.
- Demonstrated experience with UML and SysML modeling languages.
- Experience with Mathworks suite of tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Requirements Toolbox.
- Experience integrating multi-discipline models in an MBSE ecosystem.
- Experience mentoring MBSE concepts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
