Requirements

  • Experience working in a Pre-Sales role as Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management, in any of the following capacities: architect, strategist, or implementor
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions, incorporating whiteboarding, practical examples, and product demonstrations
  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, support, teaching, or pre-sales
  • You’re a natural at building relationships, listening, and managing time well

Responsibilities

  • Lead deep technical Q&A discovery sessions for prospective customers to uncover their business requirements and communicate the value of solving for those requirements with Okta Identity Governance solutions.
  • Deliver interactive presentations and product demonstrations, tailoring communication to all levels of technical and Identity Governance expertise.
  • Deliver hands-on POVs showing how Okta governance solutions integrate with the many different SaaS products, on-premise applications as well as disconnected applications.
  • Utilize your understanding of a customer’s holistic environment including Least privilege access, compliance/audit requirements, software rationalization, automation tasks to ensure that the proposed architecture is viable and can be implemented by the customer or professional services.
  • Craft engaging solution content to position Okta’s value across multiple business units, including software engineering, operations, product management, and business stakeholders.
  • Occasionally participate in local and regional events evangelizing Okta.
  • Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with any of the following: governance, privileged access management, or threat detection tools
  • Hands-on experience with deploying/selling governance solutions not limited to Sailpoint, Saviynt, Lumos, Oracle Governance etc
  • If you have hands-on experience with low-code/no-code automation tools like Workato or Zapier
  • Experience delivering presentations to C-level executives, regional events, webinars
  • Experience with authentication or authorization protocols (OAuth, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, LDAP)
  • Understanding of core security concerns within a typical application (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)
  • If you have hands-on experience with scripting languages like Powershell, Azure Power Automate, node.js or Python
  • Experience working with customers across multiple segments
