Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with various types of functional and non-functional testing at all levels of the test automation pyramid—with a clear grasp of their strengths, limitations, and best-use scenarios.
- Expert in at least one or more programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Java, Python) and able to learn new languages/technologies rapidly.
- Proven experience building and maintaining automation infrastructure such as frameworks, pipelines, and reporting.
- Experience with load and performance testing methodologies, tools, and benchmarking techniques.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Workflows, GoCD) and applying DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality.
- Understanding of network protocols and experience with security testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift-left testing strategy, embedding early quality practices to boost delivery speed, reduce defects, and enhance product reliability.
- Deliver both qualitative and quantitative feedback through detailed test analysis and reporting throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to product and technical design reviews, with an eye on testability, resilience, scalability, and identifying potential implementation challenges early.
- Design and implement integrated software solutions that facilitate alignment to the test automation pyramid.
- Demonstrate strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to quickly isolate defects, validate fixes, and ensure stability.
- Lead cross-functional efforts with Product and Engineering to drive test plans and quality strategies aligned with business goals.
- Mentor and coach team members in best practices for quality engineering, including test automation, test strategy, and continuous improvement.
