Requirements
- Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience with Software Development through Information Technology or Software Engineering or Computer Engineering
- CompTIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Working with multiple engineering disciplines in an agile DevSecOps environment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for the software infrastructure, including design documents, user manuals, and system administration guides.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to engineers needing infrastructure assistance.
- Define, develop, and prototype software scripts, virtualization environments, and cloud environments.
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the software infrastructure by identifying and implementing enhancements and optimizations.
- Provide software infrastructure expertise for bids on future development activities.
- Willingness and desire to do infrastructure type work [Infrastructure as code, DevSecOps]
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with VMWare and AWS.
- Experience with Puppet, Ansible and Git
- Experience with Kubernetes and Jenkins
- Experience with Python and Bash
- Experience with Splunk and Elastic Search
- Experience with Linux administration
- Good understanding of networking concepts
- Software development experience in Java with unit testing and integration testing experience
- Knowledge of satellite ground systems, space operations, or related domains is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, especially in a defense or aerospace setting.
- Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology preferred.
