Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience
  • 5+ years experience with Java and related technologies, eg. Undertow, Junit/TestNG, JAX-RS/Jersey, Spring/Spring-Boot, Python AWS, React, Next.JS etc.
  • 2+ years experience in owning, designing components of large scale system
  • Experience designing, building, and integrating with HTTP APIs
  • Lead, Mentor junior engineers in the team
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and taking initiatives
  • Great communication skills, joy in helping people, ability to remain friendly and constructive under stress
  • Passion for automated testing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Experience leading engineer teams, providing technical, and helping coworkers grow
  • Solid understanding of system design principles, coding best practices, and growing these skills within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product and engineers from other teams to design and build new features
  • Define technical architectures, guide development teams on implementation, and do hands-on coding
  • Lead engineers on the team in implementing new features and improving existing functionality
  • Perform code reviews, ensuring the code quality, functionality, and improvement of the team’s engineering skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and deployment
  • Experience with Document Stores and Queuing systems
  • Experience deploying and optimizing applications on public cloud technologies such as AWS
  • Experience leading engineer teams
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
