Requirements
- Must have 6 plus years of experience in software development life cycle including implementation, testing using existing design and specifications
- Experience owning large-impact software engineering projects from discovery phase to roll-out.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience working with AWS technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- You will help drive key projects that power the backbone of Klaviyo (data)
- You will contribute to all the phases of the software development lifecycle.
- You will partner with lead engineers to introduce technical best practices, new design patterns and new software tools/platforms to the team.
- You will directly contribute to both writing the code for new components and effectively delegating implementation work as needed.
- You will be responsible for mentoring engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and maintaining big data pipelines and a sound understanding of big-data constructs and technologies.
- Experience with queuing fundamentals and technologies.
- Advanced experience in building optimized SQL queries.
- Experience working with database internals, specifically partitioning, query planning and optimizers.
