Senior Software Engineer

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5 years of experience as a senior software engineer – UI or related occupation
Alternatively, a master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3 years of experience as a senior software engineer – UI or related occupation
Experience with developing customer facing applications using front-end frameworks, libraries (React / Angular / Polymer / Vue) and design patterns
Experience coding HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript and Web Components
Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest
Experience with deployment pipeline frameworks such as Azure DevOps and/or the Atlassian platform

Contribute to design, development, testing and deployment of software systems and/or applications
Perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision
Work directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution
Drive application development focused around delivering business valuable features
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness
Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that require careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results
Perform other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time
