Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of success in a content strategist role.
  • In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and best practices, including paid boosting advertising strategies, and campaign and community management.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Familiarity with tools like Sprinklr, Microsoft SharePoint, and Keynote a plus.
  • Inherent understanding of Internet culture, social demographics, how to build community, and know how to show up on social in an authentic way.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies that engage and inspire global audiences.
  • Create detailed campaign briefs, ensuring clear direction and consistency across teams.
  • Serve as the social media expert, providing guidance on best practices for creative content.
  • Lead the identification and partnership with creators who align with our brand values.
  • Manage global creator programs and ensure content calendars are consistently on track.
  • Oversee budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources for creator-driven content.
  • Set and monitor KPIs, using social media data to continually optimize content performance.
  • Amplify Expedia’s brand voice across social platforms, maintaining a unified tone and identity.
  • Stay ahead of emerging social media trends and leverage new platforms and features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive shared goals.
  • Foster a creative, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Work closely with paid teams to align social media campaigns with broader paid initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working on a global team with demonstrated experience across multiple regions preferred.
  • Experience with influencer marketing, particularly within the travel industry a plus.
