Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of SAP including testing of new reports, transactions, etc.
  • Certified in Hazardous Material shipping compliance (49 CFR, IATA, & IMDG).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes, and translate this information into relevant business terms and operational concepts for the warehousing staff.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work with competing deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review short-term and long-term forecasts with plant manufacturing and planning teams to ensure on time and high-quality shipping of Entegris products from the San Luis Obispo (SLO) site.
  • Manage a team of shippers and material handlers to monitor and fulfill shipping signals from the Entegris ERP system.
  • Work with customer-facing teams (Sales, Customer Service) to develop and enact customer solutions (labeling, customer portals and ASNs, customer carrier collaboration, etc.).
  • Develops and maintains procedures related to inventory control, material handling, and Hazardous Material shipping compliance; identifies and implements process improvements.
  • Maintains accurate and concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and communicates and trains as needed.
  • Interact with vendors, suppliers, customers and peers in Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Transportation, Customer Service, IT, Internal Audit, and Finance to optimize systems and processes.
  • Selects, develops and coaches employees to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Provides recognition for employees.
  • Addresses issues with employees with supportive documentation.
  • Adheres to Company policies, procedures, and applicable budget requirements.
  • Conducts timely employee performance reviews.
  • Work with a team as well as independently when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification is desired.
