Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience with the DoD or IC and working with classified military information, ideally related to technology-based capabilities such as artificial intelligence and digital solutions.
- Previous experience authoring or maintaining Security Classification Guides issued from an appointed DoD Original Classification Authority.
- Broad knowledge of technology protection measures to mitigate identifiable harm to national security, ideally related to technology-based capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy, and other digital solutions.
- CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET with SCI Eligibility
Responsibilities
- Draft Security Classification Guides (SCGs) in accordance with DoD Manual 5200.01 Volume 1: DoD Information Security Program Overview and DoD Manual 5200.45 Instructions for Developing Security Classification Guides.
- Prepare SCG staff packages for routing and approval.
- Review classification guidance generated for new or ongoing programs to ensure specific and correct guidance is available to users.
- Interpret or develop general policy direction for application on an organization-wide basis and conduct oversight reviews on the effectiveness of classification management programs and policies for assigned projects/programs.
- Develop and implement guidelines to meet CDAO and DoD regulations.
- As required, review intelligence and counterintelligence reports, assess security vulnerabilities, and design security program planning, implementation, evaluation, and modification efforts.
- Exhibit technical judgment and make extensive unreviewed recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience with the DoD or IC and working with classified military information, directly related to technology-based capabilities such as artificial intelligence and digital solutions.
- Extensive experience authoring or maintaining Security Classification Guides issued from an appointed DoD Original Classification Authority.
- Detailed knowledge of technology protection measures to mitigate identifiable harm to national security, ideally related to technology-based capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy, and other digital solutions.
