Requirements
- PhD in biochemistry, protein engineering, chemical engineering or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on industry experience using display technologies
- Proven expertise in yeast and phage display platforms, as exemplified by a strong publication record
- Track record of success in antibody discovery, from immunization to library design, hit selection, humanization, and optimization
- Experience with immune and/or synthetic library generation and screening
- Proficiency with standard molecular biology techniques and protein expression systems
- Outstanding analytical, research and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with an ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and make decisions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of display platforms (phage and yeast) for antibody and protein engineering applications
- Design, build and screen diverse immune and synthetic antibody libraries including monoclonals, antibody fragments, nanobodies and other novel antibody modalities
- Apply strategies for antibody affinity maturation and functional optimization
- Implement and refine high throughput screening workflows, including FACS, NGS and deep mutational scanning
- Analyze data to identify lead molecules and guide engineering decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Protein Science, Neuroscience, and Bioinformatics to advance platforms and therapeutic candidates
- Stay current with advances in protein/antibody engineering and display technologies
- Contribute to patent filings, publications, and external presentations
