Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
- 9+ years of experience in a sales capacity with prior broker/dealer, buy-side firm, or other electronic trading venue experience
- Series 7 required
- Series 63 required
- Knowledge of the MarketAxess platform and product suite
- Knowledge of the fixed income markets, preferably investment grade, high yield, Emerging Markets, leveraged loans, credit derivatives, fixed income ETFs, munis, Eurobonds and rates
- Proven track record of exceeding goals and quotas
- Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (eg. negotiation, consultative skills)
- Excellent collaborative skills and ability to successfully partner across functions and lines of business
- Ability to interact with and provide insight to line-traders and trading management
- Ability to deliver results amidst continuous change in an agile work environment
- Ability to proactively tackle business problems with creative solutions
- Ability to be in office as needed per company requirements
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the market and MarketAxess product suite, anticipate client needs, and use discretion to advise clients
- Be the subject matter expert in all MarketAxess product segments to achieve trading volume targets and increase market penetration
- Sell MarketAxess trading capabilities and develop long-term strategy for current and potential clients, focusing on investment grade, emerging markets, high yield, leveraged loans, index product and rates
- Maintain and develop new relationships across levels within the client’s organization
- Leverage clients and industry intel to effectively communicate product requirements to Product Specialists/Developers for system enhancements, functionality and usability
- Analyze large sets of data to identify market trends, tradable patterns, and leading indicators to advise current and prospective clients
- Mentor and assist in the development of all junior colleagues while promoting firm values across the team
- Own relevant product initiatives and be responsible for driving the initiative and increasing knowledge and engagement across the team
- Develop executive level presentations and metrics to communicate team strategy, and proactively influence business line’s goals
- Represent the business in responding to trading strategies, test procedures and other projects
- Consistently create client engagement through in person meetings and entertainment at various venues. Travel for regional clients is expected
