Requirements
- Strong understanding of the sales and marketing functions within an insurance or pet insurance organization, or the ability to gain necessary knowledge within six months of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects that involve data integration from multiple departments and sources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and consult with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Expertise in SQL.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Salesforce & Fullstory.
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Strong adherence to enterprise data governance standards and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Ability to analyze first-, second-, and third-party research to derive insights.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and data mining skills.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop actionable solutions based on data analysis.
- Highly proficient in creating spreadsheets and data visualizations to model and analyze trends.
- Ability to mentor and train less experienced analysts.
Responsibilities
- Support development of sales strategies to optimize prospect segmentation, prospect contact, sales conversion, special offers, ongoing service, sales incentives and contests, and sales workforce effectiveness.
- Analytically assess sales performance across strategies, identify opportunities for improvement, and create options and recommendations.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Product, and OpEx partners to drive improvement in sales results, sales process, data capture, forecasts, and quality.
- Consult with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to understand complex business problems and identify opportunities to optimize sales and marketing strategies.
- Analyze diverse and complex datasets to identify trends, uncover insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Manage end-to-end projects, including gathering requirements, cleaning data, designing, and deploying visualization solutions.
- Aggregate and unify data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency. Utilize advanced analytics tools, including SQL and Power BI, for data preparation and visualization.
- Apply statistical concepts and measurement techniques to analyze data and create insightful visualizations.
- Leverage strategic thinking to align insights with business goals and objectives.
- Utilize data storytelling techniques to effectively communicate insights, business performance trends, and strategic recommendations.
- Own and deliver major reporting and analysis projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and business value.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
- Proficiency with Power BI and SQL required; experience with additional analytics tools such as R or Python is a plus.
