Requirements
- Master’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
- Laboratory Setting (1 Year)
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of research tasks, including preparation of reagents, tissue culture, and execution of assays
- Conduct hands-on work with murine models, including managing mouse colonies (breeding, weaning, genotyping)
- Perform minor procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate records of animal usage and status
- Collect and record experimental data and maintain detailed, organized records
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Maintain lab inventory and assist in ordering reagents and supplies
- Adhere to institutional safety protocols and maintain documentation related to biosafety and chemical hygiene
- Ensure cleanliness and operational integrity of the lab space
- Contribute to the training and onboarding of technicians, acting as a group leader
- Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of laboratory experience is highly preferred
- Experience working with mouse models
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blotting, RNA isolation)
- Prior experience with extracellular vesicles, lipid metabolism, or models of metabolic diseases is a plus
