Requirements

  • Master’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
  • Laboratory Setting (1 Year)

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of research tasks, including preparation of reagents, tissue culture, and execution of assays
  • Conduct hands-on work with murine models, including managing mouse colonies (breeding, weaning, genotyping)
  • Perform minor procedures as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of animal usage and status
  • Collect and record experimental data and maintain detailed, organized records
  • Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain lab inventory and assist in ordering reagents and supplies
  • Adhere to institutional safety protocols and maintain documentation related to biosafety and chemical hygiene
  • Ensure cleanliness and operational integrity of the lab space
  • Contribute to the training and onboarding of technicians, acting as a group leader
  • Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of laboratory experience is highly preferred
  • Experience working with mouse models
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blotting, RNA isolation)
  • Prior experience with extracellular vesicles, lipid metabolism, or models of metabolic diseases is a plus
