Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • 8+ years of experience in a related product/industry.
  • Experience working closely with (and orchestrating across) engineering teams to deliver innovative digital products.
  • Proven ability to scope and author comprehensive business and technical product requirements.
  • Strong analytic skills and instinct for success measurement/monitoring of delivered products.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a highly functioning and influential leader on high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Deeply curious, open-minded, and creative thinker who loves to explore new areas and determine opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent ability to communicate clear and consistent direction to team members, and to lead, motivate, and supervise project and/or working teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to learn, communicate, and influence across multiple disciplines.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel to meet business needs: up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with multiple engineering teams to enhance and manage internal or external products.
  • Partner with internal and external customers to understand their needs and execute on value-added work to increase richness and usability of our products.
  • Serve as the ‘voice of the customer’ to the delivery team by representing and reinforcing the customer’s perspective throughout product realization cycles.
  • Partner with a cross-functional team of analysts, architects, engineers, testers, and others to develop and execute against product roadmaps and release plans.
  • Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
  • Collaborate with PMO/Agile to prioritize and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with subject matter experts, analysts, data scientists, and technology teams across Credit Acceptance to support our products.
  • Act as the subject-matter expert for the data product and related data domains owned by the teams.
  • Break down features into detailed stories consumable and testable by an agile team.
  • Accept and review completed stories with a focus on product quality.
  • Communicate release notes and product news and demo product changes to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or an analytical field
  • Experience and understanding of consumer auto financing (or similar credit/lending business)
  • Experience developing fintech products
