Senior Product Designer – Design Systems

5+ years of product design experience, with 2+ years focused on design systems or similar foundational design work.
Strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, component design, and successful collaboration with engineering teams.
Deep understanding of design principles, accessibility, responsive design, and UX best practices.
Experience with Figma (components, libraries, tokens), Supernova, Storybook, or similar design system and documentation tools.
Familiarity with frontend development principles (HTML, CSS, React or similar frameworks) and the ability to effectively communicate with developers.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and stakeholders.

Lead Design System Initiatives: Design, document, and evolve reusable components, patterns, and guidelines that serve a wide range of product needs.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation of design system components. Work with product teams to advocate for and support system adoption.
Accessibility Champion: Ensure the system adheres to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and promotes inclusive design practices.
Governance & Contribution: Establish and maintain processes for contributions to the system, ensuring consistency and scalability across teams.
Documentation & Advocacy: Create clear, thorough documentation that guides designers and developers. Act as a design systems advocate across the company.
Mentorship & Thought Leadership: Contribute to the strategic vision of the design systems function.

Experience with design tokens and implementing them at scale.
Background in user research or testing design system usability.
Contribution to or maintenance of open-source design systems or component libraries.
Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teams.
