Responsibilities

  • Engage in Strategic Planning: Keep sight of long-term goals while working with teams to break them into actionable objectives.
  • Facilitate Dependency Mapping: Chart and share deliverables and dependencies within the roadmap to ensure successful releases, paying attention to downstream impacts.
  • Support Risk and Opportunity Planning: Assist project leads and directors by sharing priorities and dependencies, contributing to scenario and risk mitigation planning, and engaging in creative problem-solving.
  • Ensure Predictable Visibility: Provide consistent, accurate, and accessible communication on project and team status to leads, the production team, and the studio.
  • Foster Effective Cross-team Communication: Cultivate productive communication flows with internal and external teams to continuously improve collaboration.
  • Collaborate on Resource Planning and Tracking: Work with Leads to determine time and resources needed to complete projects and tasks, mapping these to releases, with: 1. clear identification of factors that add complexity and therefore time or additional resources, 2. prioritization aligned with larger Project goals, 3. understanding of team capacity and velocity for realistic projections of effort over time, and 4. time allocated for discovery and experimentation to prevent future issues.
  • Contribute to Scoping and Decision Making: Partner with leads and directors to establish a shared understanding of project scope, ensuring priorities are clear and decisions are made and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Help Optimize Team Process, Structures, and Tools: Collaborate with Leads to create, maintain, and improve structures, processes, practices, and tools that allow teams (internal and external) to produce high-quality work efficiently and on time.
