Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Software Engineering, or related fields (MBA or JD preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in software procurement, cloud services sourcing, or enterprise IT procurement (3+ years with a Master’s degree)
  • Hands-on experience negotiating SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS contracts, with prior experience at AWS or a major cloud provider
  • Deep knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and risk management
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, pricing models, enterprise agreements, and cloud storage tooling
  • Skilled in BI reporting, spend analysis, fiscal planning, and financial analysis, with advanced expertise in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • High emotional intelligence, excellent communication abilities, and a growth mindset
  • Proficient in synthesizing and presenting complex data and insights in executive-level presentations

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing projects and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to optimize Filevine’s software spend.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison, building strong relationships with purchasing decision-makers and suppliers across Filevine.
  • Oversee contract management, including obligation tracking, renewal strategies, and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
  • Drive value-creation opportunities across spend categories and proactively optimize cloud infrastructure costs (e.g., AWS).
  • Manage AWS partnership obligations, leveraging savings programs, tracking milestones, and ensuring compliance and security best practices.
  • Demonstrate expertise in software trends, commercial models, and cloud infrastructure costs while training internal teams.
  • Support legal and risk mitigation processes, ensuring robust SLAs and effective procurement system updates.
  • Report on sourcing progress, including work planning, ongoing tasks, and key procurement metrics.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of sourcing initiatives and drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.
