Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience to include any combination of the following:
  • Testing of antennas or radomes in a chamber or test range
  • Operation of an antenna, radome, and/or RCS chamber/range
  • Demonstrated knowledge of antenna and/or sensor measurement theory and range operation
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop antenna, radome, advanced sensor systems, and/or RCS ranges/chambers
  • Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc. to define, analyze, simulate, implement, and evaluate requirements for ranges and/or chambers, including relevant test equipment
  • Work with chamber/range equipment and service suppliers
  • Oversee implementation of new ranges/chambers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science (MS) or PhD in electrical engineering
  • Significant experience simulating and/or estimating the effects of propagation, reflections, and scattering on an antenna under test (AUT) in an anechoic chamber
  • Measurement of hardware for RCS
  • Significant experience specifying, building, and validating antenna, radome, and/or RCS ranges/chambers
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages
  • Proficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM
  • Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and GRASP
  • Experience designing and testing conformal antennas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple sources
  • Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction
  • Demonstrated ability to put forth and drive technical execution plans
  • Knowledgeable of management processes, such as Earned Value
  • Experience presenting in technical reviews
  • Understanding of near-field-to-far-field processing algorithms
  • Experience designing datalink, flight termination, telemetry, and/or GPS antenna systems
  • Experience being a Cost Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead
