Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the games, media, or interactive content industry in a technical or pipeline engineering role.
  • Production experience in 3D content creation and graphics pipelines, including managing 3D assets, animation, and rendering.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge traditional DCC pipelines with new approaches involving automation, cloud-based processing, or user generated content.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for scripting, pipeline development, and package distribution.
  • Familiarity with C++ and C# for extending DCC tools (e.g., Maya, Blender) or real-time engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal).
  • Experience designing and building APIs, particularly RESTful endpoints.
  • Strong understanding of backend systems, including asynchronous processing, queue architectures, and database integration.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and workflows, including version control (e.g., GitHub), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), and environment management (e.g., Docker, Virtualenv).
  • Some familiarity with AWS services, such as Lambda, S3, and related SDKs.
  • Comfortable working across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve our 3D content pipeline, bridging traditional DCC-based workflows (e.g., Maya, Blender, Substance) with a modern, cloud-native pipeline built for scale, automation, and external contributors.
  • Drive pipeline initiatives end-to-end, including scoping, technical planning, and securing the right resources to meet aggressive production goals.
  • Build and maintain scalable asset management and processing tools that support a hybrid environment with locally authored assets and remote, AI-assisted, or UGC content.
  • Provide and coordinate front-line support for asset tracking, asset ingestion, and asset triaging from art authoring to game integration.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize legacy workflows, introducing cloud-based solutions, automation, and asynchronous processing wherever impactful.
  • Anticipate cross department needs and work to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely amongst Content, Engineering & Avatar Technology teams to improve automated systems for processing internal and external assets (UGC).
