Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurate and timely processing of end-to-end US and UK payroll, including but not limited to new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, benefits, stock transactions, and other payroll-related changes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and labor law requirements
- Manage payroll tax including but not limited to registrations for new jurisdictions, maintain login details, tax notices, amendments, etc.
- Responsible for all aspects of payroll accounting, such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and other activities to support financial close and audits
- Maintain accurate payroll records and transactions in accordance with SOX requirements.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by management and auditors.
- Serve as the go-to expert for payroll-related inquiries, resolving employee issues with urgency, accuracy and care
- Participate in various ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed by the business
Preferred Qualifications
- Having a growth mindset – Being professionally curious, learning new skills, and aiming to continuously improve
- Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting related field or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll or related field
- Experience as payroll administrator, preferably Dayforce or an equivalent system such as Workday, UKG, ADP
- Experience with stock transactions (e.g. NQSO, ISO, RSU, ESPP)
- NetSuite experience a plus
