Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a patent agent
- An advanced degree in material science, chemistry, chemical engineering or a related discipline, PhD preferred
- USPTO Registration required
- Outstanding writing and analytical skills are essential
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Solicit disclosures of inventions and assist inventors in filing timely and accurate disclosures
- Determine patent application filing priorities
- Provide leadership to technical disclosure selection processes
- Prosecute US and non-US patent applications and prepare other documents during all stages of the patent procurement process
- Draft patent applications or engage outside counsel for the preparation of patent applications
- Conduct patentability and landscape searching
- Analyze issued patents and support competitive awareness searches
- Protect Entegris’ intellectual property worldwide
- Assure Entegris realizes maximum return on Entegris’ intellectual property investment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience in a law firm or legal department and as a scientist strongly preferred
