Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional work experience in non-profit management, development, alumni relations, marketing or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop teams successfully
- Strong verbal and writing skills, including proposals and collateral materials for higher education development
- Experience in handling budgets, timelines, and team coordination
- Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and solve challenges proactively
- Skilled in handling workplace disputes and fostering a positive team culture
Responsibilities
- Maintain smooth office operations, including relationships with all internal stakeholders, donors and vendors. Lead the submission and tracking of financial reimbursements for the CNS’ team and train administrative staff in financial reimbursements. Work with CNS’ finance team to develop the office’s annual budget and manage monthly forecasting and financial reporting.
- Oversee and coordinate marketing and communications with internal partners and external vendors. Ensure operations and communications align with fundraising and organizational priorities.
- Manage team office space and staff work schedules. Plan and implement regular professional development opportunities for the team
- Lead and manage a team of six direct reports, fostering collaboration and productivity. Set clear expectations, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback. Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Work with the CDO and leadership team to build out the development team and operational infrastructure to achieve aggressive campaign goals and shape strategy for continued fundraising growth post-campaign.
- Other related functions and projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior relevant work experience in a university development environment or university setting
- Familiarity with UT Austin policies, procedures and systems.
