Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related degree and/or practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development using Object Oriented Programming using C++, C#, Java and front-end web development with Angular
- 3+ years of experience in building REST services ASP.NET Web API
- Strong knowledge of web architecture/design and web best practices
- Demonstrated strong ability to interpret requirements and design solutions to fit those requirements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact successfully with business partners and technology teams
Responsibilities
- Interact with business stakeholders and technology counterparts across many areas within Schwab
- Work with agile team members
- Provide creative/innovative solutions in a highly dynamic environment
- Implement robust, fault-tolerant software that meets functional requirements and has 24x7x365 availability
- Provide expertise in web-based, distributed, and cloud-based computing application development
Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding of latest Architecture and Development Standards and Guidelines
- Demonstrated knowledge of design patterns and when to apply them
- Experience providing guidance, direction, and feedback to other technical staff in order to meet agreed upon objectives
- Ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, cost effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for composing and delivering technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various level of technical and non-technical
- Experience with branching/merging using code repositories (e.g. Bitbucket)
- Working knowledge or familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with financial industry
