Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in “Advanced Mechatronics” or similar field of study required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Lead Technical Role, or similar role preferred
- Two years’ experience from an industrial manufacturing environment desired
- Previous leadership roles or supervisory experience preferred
- Must be available to work an 8pm – 8am shift on a 3-2-2-3 schedule
- Possess skills in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and an understanding of electricity and electronic principles
- Able to successfully pass a practical assessment developed to gauge technical competence
- Candidates shall be administered a basic electronics exam and will be interviewed by HR, Production Maintenance Superintendent and/or Production Maintenance Supervisor, and Engineering Technician.
Responsibilities
- Sets up, Trouble-shoots, and maintains all electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic production equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance on the equipment as specified in the Plant Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program or as required to ensure a smooth operation.
- Assists in the installation, debugging and start-up of new production equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.
- Uses Programmable Logic Controllers as a means to trouble-shoot, debug, and test production equipment. Makes programming changes as required and submits required documentation to reflect the change under the guidance of the Engineering Staff.
- Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR).
- Follows applicable specifications, plant policies, and Departmental Procedures.
- Develops and applies trouble-shooting skills to maintain a wide variety of equipment.
- Develops a working knowledge of Plant Maintenance Software system, SAP. Maintains PM documentation as required for assigned areas of production.
