Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree in “Advanced Mechatronics” or similar field of study required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Lead Technical Role, or similar role preferred
  • Two years’ experience from an industrial manufacturing environment desired
  • Previous leadership roles or supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be available to work an 8pm – 8am shift on a 3-2-2-3 schedule
  • Possess skills in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and an understanding of electricity and electronic principles
  • Able to successfully pass a practical assessment developed to gauge technical competence
  • Candidates shall be administered a basic electronics exam and will be interviewed by HR, Production Maintenance Superintendent and/or Production Maintenance Supervisor, and Engineering Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up, Trouble-shoots, and maintains all electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic production equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on the equipment as specified in the Plant Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program or as required to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Assists in the installation, debugging and start-up of new production equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.
  • Uses Programmable Logic Controllers as a means to trouble-shoot, debug, and test production equipment. Makes programming changes as required and submits required documentation to reflect the change under the guidance of the Engineering Staff.
  • Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR).
  • Follows applicable specifications, plant policies, and Departmental Procedures.
  • Develops and applies trouble-shooting skills to maintain a wide variety of equipment.
  • Develops a working knowledge of Plant Maintenance Software system, SAP. Maintains PM documentation as required for assigned areas of production.
