Requirements
- Doctorate degree OR
- Master’s degree and 4 to 6 years of Life Science/Biotechnology/Pharmacology/Information Systems experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 to 8 years of Life Science/Biotechnology/Pharmacology/Information Systems experience OR
- Diploma and 10 to 12 years of Life Science/Biotechnology/Pharmacology/Information Systems experience
- Deep understanding of manufacturing systems, data flows, and integrations
- Strong grasp of OT/IT layering (ISA‑95/ISA‑99) and secure network design
- Knowledge of load balancers, Windows Failover Clusters
- Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex manufacturing challenges

Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy, architecture, standards, and lifecycle for Amgen’s MES PASX ecosystem across a global network of manufacturing sites
- Own the global strategy and roadmap for the MES PASX platform which is used across all manufacturing sites; ensuring platform scalability, reliability, security, data integrity and business alignment
- Define and maintain technical standards for the platform architecture and configuration, planning out improvements and removal of aging technology, ensuring adherence to PASX and Amgen best practices
- Partner with the global Business Owner to co-own the business roadmap and standards for the system, creating alignment across the network and propagating best practices
- Serve as the principal Amgen SME for capital and expansion projects
- Lead a Global Program for managing the lifecycle of MES PASX across the network
- Maintain global procedures, configurations and qualification strategies for the MES Platform
- Work with business stakeholders in Manufacturing, Engineering, PD, and Data Science teams to help create and/or improve data products that utilize process and equipment data stored in MES
- Own the strategic vendor relationship to manage contracts, SLAs, and technical engagement with Körber and key service partners
- Apply best practices to analyse business requirements, develop architectural designs, evaluate technology solutions, and ensure alignment with industry best practices and standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Körber’s PASX MES system
- Hands‑on with PASX along with associated integrations to Level 2 and Level 4 systems
- Pharma / GxP regulated‑environment experience
- Strong background in industrial data‑integration protocols and platforms (MSI, OPC UA, Aveva Pi, Batch Management Systems, Kepware)
- Strong background in query languages and database technologies such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Customer‑centric mindset with a track record of building trusted stakeholder relationships
- Self‑motivated and quick to learn new technologies; adept at cross‑functional collaboration
- Agile methodology practitioner
- Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Rafay
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and scaling of applications
- Monitor and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, security, and cost efficiency
- Hybrid‑cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or similar
- Scripting & automation of system tasks with PowerShell or Python
