Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering
- 5+ years of experience within Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience in process design, manufacturing, or product engineering preferred
- Experience using CAD and CAM software
- Strong technical writing skills and communication skills
- Independently manage engineering projects and resources associated with manufacturing engineering
Responsibilities
- Develops manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments; evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements
- Recommends new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and operating equipment, including control devices; evaluating equipment capabilities and service history; evaluating vendor service and support
- Completes equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings
- Monitors equipment installations by advising crews
- Meets production requirements by designing equipment modifications
- Prepares equipment operators by conducting training; providing reference and support resources
- Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines
- Maintains equipment records by filing documents; updating equipment database
- Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches
- Contributes to engineering and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results
- All other duties as assigned
